The sheer amount of things I learned made it 100% worth the purchase and the time. Not only that, the author has an incredible sense of wit/humor that added so much life and personality to a book FULL of direct, primary source material. Lots of references but not exciting or overly informative. A very slow and tedious read. There are not a lot of options for material on Tarleton so this will have to do but for a book that was supposed to be about him and the British Legion it really isn’t. Gave me a different perspective on the American revolution and how so much was sacrificed on both sides and how you need to do what needs to be done to survive.
